LOMOGRAPHY
Lomography has officially increased their prices on color and black and white film, by as much as 40 percent! That is just astronomical and ridiculous considering that it wasn’t a gradual increase but a sudden rise. It’s hard out here for shooters, as COVID increased the love for analog photography which has been wonderful, but it’s not 1999 anymore and camera companies have not even able to withstand the demand. So it’s hurting the wallet out here. Also, there is barely a roll of Kodak in the proximity of 50 miles, so we are just left singing this song.
Here’s a statement from Lomography:
Over the past couple of years, all industries have been experiencing significant production and logistical challenges as well as dealing with rising prices due to inflation and the increasing cost of raw materials.
We have been working hard to contain price increases within our own costs for as long as possible, however we have now had to take additional steps and adjust some of our prices to ensure that we can continue to bring new and exciting analogue products to our Lomographers.
As you know, we are dedicated to keeping creative film photography alive and thriving despite all challenges – some of the firm favorites amongst our Lomography Community like the Diana F+ and Konstruktor cameras have not increased in price since we first launched them and will remain untouched!
We foresee an exciting future for the analogue community and we will always be here to challenge your imagination, build on your innovation and keep film photography fun!
……*sighs*……

Lawd help….
HARMAN
Ilford, Harman, and Kentmere products will also be feeling the crunch as they will undergo an increase starting NOW.
Here’s a statement from Robert’s Distributors, the main vendor for these products in USA.
Due to significant increases in the costs of manufacture and shipping, HARMAN will implement a price increase effective Monday March 14th. Backorders will be honored at the old prices, but Roberts Distributors and HARMAN reserve the right to limit these in exceptional circumstances. A summary of increases by item/category is below. |

CINESTILL
Even though vendor prices are increasing, Photodom is committed to keeping Cinestill at the same consumer price for now!

But for now, we are just going to eat these costs for the love of film. *cries in the corner*
